As a Housekeeping Manager, you play a vital role in shaping the guest experience through impeccable standards of cleanliness, thoughtful touches, and intuitive service.
The Housekeeping Manager ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations, supervises Room Attendants and Housemen, and ensures a seamless guest experience aligned with Nine Orchard’s luxury service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Review daily Front Desk and Housekeeping pass-ons; follow up on guest requests and open tasks in ALICE.
– Open and assign guest rooms, review reports (Arrivals, OOO/OOS, Tasks, Amenity, House Status).
– Lead daily pre-shift meetings covering occupancy, VIPs, events, and safety.
– Inspect guest rooms, hallways, closets, public areas, and staircases for cleanliness and maintenance.
– Assign daily projects and priorities for Room Attendants and Housemen; ensure productivity goals are met.
– Review and maintain inventory levels in storage areas and supply closets.
– Manage Lost & Found, DND logs, discrepancy reports, and daily housekeeping documentation.
– Coach and train staff, ensuring all team members follow department standards.
– Communicate with Front Desk and Engineering to resolve issues promptly.
– Support special projects, events, and “General Clean” programs in assigned sections.
Requirements:– 3+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in a luxury or boutique hotel.
– High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in cleanliness and presentation.
– Strong organizational, communication, and people management skills.
– Familiarity with ALICE or similar task management systems preferred.
– Flexible to work weekends and holidays.
– A passion for hospitality and an appreciation for thoughtful, guest-centered service.
