This is a customer-facing cybersecurity role focused on helping mid-market organizations understand, evaluate, and adopt effective security solutions.
You will serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales cycle, from qualifying opportunities and leading technical discussions to supporting customers after implementation.
The position combines expertise in networking, security, virtualization, and emerging technologies with strong presentation and communication skills.
You will translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions and help customers understand how different technologies can address their security and networking needs.
The role also involves supporting channel partners through technical guidance, training, events, seminars, and customer engagements.
You will collaborate closely with sales, technical support, engineering, customers, and partners to resolve challenges and drive successful outcomes.

- Support the qualification of sales leads by assessing their technical requirements, environments, and potential security solutions.
- Act as the primary technical resource during sales calls, answering customer questions and educating stakeholders on product features, specifications, functionality, and integrations.
- Apply strong knowledge of networking applications and security solutions to design solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Provide post-sales technical support for assigned accounts, working closely with technical support and engineering teams to investigate, escalate, and resolve complex customer issues.
- Assist identified customers with post-sales technical training and enablement activities.
- Provide presales technical support and training to channel partners within the assigned region.
- Deliver technical presentations at customer and partner meetings, seminars, and industry events.
- Maintain flexibility to travel primarily within the designated region, with occasional travel to other regions as required.
- Create network and security solution designs, including technical diagrams and accurate Bills of Materials, using tools such as Visio.
- Stay current with networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, NFV, SDN, and other emerging technologies to provide relevant technical guidance.
- Bring 3–8 years of experience in technical or presales support, ideally in a presales, security expert, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Have experience administering LAN, WAN, and Internet services and demonstrate strong knowledge of networking and cybersecurity architectures.
- Demonstrate hands-on understanding of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, stateful firewalls, NGFW, firewall policies, identity-based policies, NAT, IPS, anti-malware, botnet protection, application control, DDoS protection, web filtering, and SDN.
- Possess strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, supernetting, subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, SSL decryption, SSL VPN, IPsec, VLANs, LACP, SSH, SSL, and modern encryption technologies.
- Demonstrate experience with encryption and authentication technologies, along with strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Have excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills, with previous RFP response experience considered an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong whiteboarding and solution-explanation skills, particularly when communicating complex technical concepts to customers and partners.
- Bring knowledge of technologies such as Wi-Fi, load balancing, application delivery, Ethernet switching, ACI, APIs, two-factor authentication, malware sandboxes, mail gateways, web application firewalls, cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, SDN, NFV, virtualization, centralized management, SIEM, and data center redundancy as an advantage.
- Previous experience working for a technology vendor or reseller is considered an asset.
