The Franchise Communications Coordinator helps deliver clear, timely, and engaging communications to franchisees across a large hospitality network.
The role manages the operational backbone of franchise communications, from distribution lists and Salesforce workflows to content publishing and approvals.
It also provides writing, editing, proofreading, and research support for a range of corporate communications.
Success in this position requires exceptional organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple communication schedules.
The coordinator works cross-functionally with teams including marketing, procurement, revenue management, IT, and brand programs.
This is a Field/Remote opportunity, requiring effective virtual collaboration with colleagues and leadership.
The role offers an opportunity to influence franchisee engagement while developing expertise across communications, content operations, and digital communication platforms.
- Maintain accurate biweekly franchisee email distribution lists across different brands and audience segments, ensuring communications reach the appropriate recipients.
- Create franchisee newsletter proofs in Salesforce, coordinate approvals twice weekly, and distribute newsletters according to established schedules.
- Build and upload customized Salesforce distribution lists for special communications and targeted campaigns.
- Create and distribute the monthly actions checklist while ensuring recurring communications are delivered accurately and on time.
- Upload articles and other content to the intranet, keeping information current, properly tagged, and accessible to the intended audiences.
- Coordinate communication content and timing with international teams when applicable.
- Monitor corporate communications and corporate news inboxes, triaging incoming requests and routing them to the appropriate team members.
- Support communications for multiple internal functions, including procurement, marketing, revenue management, IT, and brand programs.
- Write and edit selected corporate communications, including emails, news updates, marketing promotions, brand updates, and operational communications.
- Provide research, writing, editing, proofreading, and general editorial support to strengthen communication quality and consistency.
- Manage the legal approval process for corporate communications and ensure required reviews are completed before distribution.
- Take on additional communications, administrative, and production responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in communications, marketing, content, administration, or a related field.
- Hospitality industry experience and/or previous franchise relations or franchise communications experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) style and strong writing, editing, proofreading, and editorial skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Salesforce Account Engagement is strongly preferred, while experience with content management and email distribution platforms is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy across recurring communications and production workflows.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent schedules, approvals, and deadlines in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional correspondence and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive, organized, and collaborative in a virtual environment.
- Salary range of $65,698–$77,269.
