Job Description
The Director of Chaperone Programming is responsible for leading and supporting the adult attendee experience throughout the Washington Leadership Conference while contributing to the successful delivery of overall conference programming. Core duties include communicating conference expectations, providing guidance and support to adult attendees, addressing concerns, and overseeing chaperone programming and experiences. The Director of Chaperone Programming also provides leadership and support to WLC facilitators, including coaching session delivery and contributing to staff development and discipline.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the Director of Student Programming and the Program Coordinator to support overall conference operations and participant needs, completing administrative duties such as expense vouchers and conference travel, corresponding with local, state, and National FFA staff, and making responsible spending decisions within the established program budget.
The role also requires participation in three mandatory training weeks and certification in First Aid/CPR. All responsibilities may be adjusted, changed, or removed at any time by the Program Specialist or Program Manager.

- May 24-27, 2027 (Indianapolis, Indiana)
- May 28-June 6, 2027 (Washington, D.C.)
- June 7-July 20, 2027 (Washington, D.C.)
- Staff will be hired with the potential to facilitate up to five weeks.

Compensation- March 14-20, 2027 Training: $826
- May 24-27, 2027 Training: $495
- May 28-June 6, 2027 Training: $826
- Conference Weeks: $1,218 per week
- Cleanup: $296

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate all selected pre-developed content during each conference.
- Work with Corporate Partners, as assigned, to coordinate an in-person or virtual visit during conferences.
- Complete administrative duties such as completing expense reports, scheduling travel, etc.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with National FFA Staff on items relating to conference changes and updates. This includes receiving and implementing feedback throughout the conference season.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma, some college or Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE:
- At minimum, one year of experience as a National FFA conference facilitator or in agricultural education.
