Responsibilities

This is a part-time role and hours will vary between a minimum of 8 hours per month up to100 hours per month depending on the need of the team.

  • Analyzes medical records and medical bills for relatedness and causality for clients.
  • Reviews medical records to evaluate care and status of the claimant.
  • Conducts medical journal research.
  • Provides clients with medical evidence preparation and organization.
  • Examines issues, omissions and discrepancies in medical records.
  • Prepares case summaries.


Qualifications

Licenses or Certifications:

  • You must be a registered nurse (RN) with a license in the state you reside

Experience:

  • Mitchell’s Medical Claims Consultants are Registered Nurses and will typically have at least 3 years clinical experience and one year as a reviewer
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in navigating between multiple software platforms simultaneously
  • Ability to efficiently extract and transfer information between different programs while maintaining accuracy
  • Adaptability to learn new software systems and workflows quickly
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing electronic information from disparate sources into cohesive work products
  • Comfort with cloud-based collaboration tools and shared document environments

Written Abilities:

  • Proficient grammar, sentence structure, and written communication skills required
