Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – Therapy Services – PRN (as needed)

What to expect as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Provide hands-on assistance to patients during exercises and activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the supervising occupational therapists.
- Assist in educating patients and their family members.
- Maintain and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas.
- Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse patient population.
- Apply various techniques and knowledge of current occupational therapy methodologies.
- Ensure patients understand and follow through with prescribed plans.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Passing of the NBOCT Exam
- Missouri State Licensure
- 2-3 years of experience preferred
- BLS required.
- Ability to carry out treatment plans under guidance of an Occupational Therapist.
- Display skill with occupational therapy equipment, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
- Have an understanding of various medical conditions.
- Have exceptional communication and intrapersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to build rapport with patients and other professionals.
