POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Manager (WM) of Feeding South Florda, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the night shift warehouse operations of Feeding South Florida’s Pembroke Park location. This position plays an integral role in the intradepartmental coordination of activities. The ideal candidate is strategic, business savvy, understands process improvement and has leadership experience.
COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the execution of night warehousing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily night warehouse operations including picking, shipping, inventory, reporting, and food safety.
- Manage personnel, including interviewing, performance reviews, training employees, and preparing work assignments.
- Assist in planning warehouse functions to include long-term departmental goal setting, work planning, operational analysis, and evaluation in collaboration with the Day Warehouse Manager.
- Oversee projects to improve efficiency and contribute to the facility meeting environmental, health and security standards and complying with government regulations.
- Prepare operational progress and status reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect metrics, analyze productivity, and review key performance indicators (set by internal stakeholders) that will help to meet operational, inventory accuracy, programmatic, and budgetary goals.
- Work to ensure all operations comply with all required regulations.
- Drive implementation and execution of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Positively represent the FSF brand and mission.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years of management experience, perishable/food warehousing preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders and constituencies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety programs.
- Strong computer proficiency including inventory control systems required.
- Familiarity with WMS.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and typing proficiency; high level of Excel aptitude required.
- Strong analytical skills; basic business intuition, common sense, and strong work ethic.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Willingness and ability to support events as necessary.
- Commitment to the service of others while fully supporting the organization’s mission and values required.
- Must maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours of Operation: The hours of operation for this position is Sunday – Thursday, 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. This position may work additional hours occasionally throughout the year, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, and disaster response.
- Environment: This position works in a warehouse and office setting with varying periods of standing, talking, and/or visual concentration, and use of office equipment. Must maintain office safety standards. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in fields and warehouses in inclement weather. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Travel: This position may have occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or special events which may require the use of a personal vehicle.
- OSHA Standards: Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
