Job Description
Summary: Sells products to business and industrial establishments, individuals at branch location or over the telephone by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from the inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, suppliers, business directories, internet websites and other sources.
· Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to sell products and services.
· Handles inbound sales calls to convert calls into sales. Handle incoming calls concerning status of customers tires for recap and repair. Handle all walk-in sales calls. You must be professional, friendly and courteous when dealing with customers both on and off the phone.
· Overcomes technical and price objections of prospective customers.
· Provides product demos to customers on request.
· Writes up national account delivery receipts for road calls and takes orders from national account customers. Assist billing clerk as needed. Start billing for next day’s deliveries.
· Work with route drivers and salesman every morning to expedite tags, workorders and national account billing. Pre-delivery work should be started the day before, with a phone call being made to the account for any needs.
· Emphasizes product features, quotes prices and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
