You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement performance improvements across assigned categories.
- Develop and implement global procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and operational priorities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement optimization
- Conduct sourcing activities including market analysis, RFQs, RFPs, supplier benchmarking, and competitive procurement processes
- Analyze supplier markets, cost structures, and procurement trends to identify opportunities for savings, efficiency, and risk mitigation
- Build total cost models, savings forecasts, and analytical reports using large datasets to support strategic decision-making
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable commercial agreements and contractual terms
- Support supplier evaluation processes, including the development of evaluation matrices and performance assessments
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to sourcing strategy execution, supplier compliance, and operational performance
- Manage supplier relationships, contract renewals, ESG performance metrics, and vendor risk considerations
- Contribute to asset lifecycle and sourcing strategies aimed at minimizing operational downtime and improving supply continuity
- Collaborate with managers and directors to support procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and experience working in complex operational environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management roles
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with experience translating data into actionable business insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and large dataset analysis
- Experience conducting RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and sourcing strategy development
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is considered an asset
- Familiarity with data analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, or Access is an advantage
- Marine, transportation, industrial, or asset-intensive industry experience is considered a plus
