This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to lead strategic materials and procurement initiatives across a complex manufacturing network in North America. You will act as the primary supply chain advocate for assigned customer accounts, driving operational efficiency, inventory optimization, and long-term sourcing strategies. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on collaboration across procurement, manufacturing, finance, and customer-facing teams. You will play a key role in improving asset velocity, reducing supply chain risks, and supporting customer growth through data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic supply chain initiatives that support operational performance, customer satisfaction, and cost optimization across manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with customer requirements and operational objectives
- Act as the primary supply chain liaison for assigned customer accounts across manufacturing facilities in North America
- Drive initiatives to improve inventory turnover, asset velocity, and material flow while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory risks
- Collaborate with procurement and global commodity management teams to support strategic sourcing and customer cost reduction initiatives
- Aggregate and analyze supply chain data across business units to support sourcing decisions, flexibility, and operational performance goals
- Support new product introductions and provide guidance on material planning, pricing strategies, and supply chain readiness
- Partner with quotation and product costing teams to ensure competitive pricing and efficient supply chain alignment during proposal stages
- Lead material-related negotiations with customers, including repricing activities and customer-controlled pricing discussions
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including finance, manufacturing, procurement, and customer account teams
- Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and corporate supply chain standards and best practices
- Provide leadership and guidance to procurement and supply chain teams while contributing as a senior individual contributor
The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical supply chain professional with strong experience managing complex customer relationships and manufacturing operations across multiple regions.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic supply chain management or equivalent supply chain leadership roles
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations within manufacturing or electronics environments
- Experience with inventory management, sourcing strategies, procurement, and supply chain optimization initiatives
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of P&L management and financial impact analysis within supply chain operations
- Experience managing stakeholders across customer, manufacturing, finance, and procurement teams
- Background in electrical components or electronics manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects, influence cross-functional teams, and drive operational improvements
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across Canada, the United States, and Mexico
- Experience leading or mentoring small teams while remaining hands-on operationally is considered an asset
