Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warranty and Parts Advisor is the liaison and primary point of contact between the customer and the manufacturer for all warranty-related issues and claims and will also serve as a Parts Specialist and will be responsible for processing parts orders.

Essential Functions:

    Provides warranty support to customers as well as service and sales departments.Prepares records, reconciles warranty claims, and submits them to the appropriate manufacturers for payment.Codes warranty claims using labor operations codes.Work with internal operations to process repair orders for factory recall repairs on trailers in dealer inventory.Maintains warranty payments and schedules and submits them to accounting for review.Works directly in conjunction with sales department and Service Manager to ensure that warranty work is correctly identified, communicated, and reconciled in a reasonable timeframe that advocates for the customer.Provide expert guidance on product parts and warranty policies to customers.Process warranty claims and parts orders.Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and warranty transactions.Collaborate with suppliers to source replacement parts as needed.Educate customers on proper product usage and maintenance to prevent warranty issues.Stay updated on product changes and warranty terms to provide accurate information.Attend all safety and production trainings.Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.Able to work overtime as needed.All other duties as requested.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma or GED. Associate degree preferred.


Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in processing warranty claims.

    Employees will be in an office setting. This position may be exposed to the outdoors during inclement weather and/or extreme heat at times and may require sitting and standing with occasional lifting.

    Work is performed primarily in an indoor/office setting. Person will be required to sit and stand frequently. Noise level will be moderate to an office setting. Work is often performed in an urgent manner with stressful situations.
