This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Canada.

This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure for fast-growing international technology companies operating at a global level. The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in enabling high-performing engineering teams by improving CI/CD pipelines, strengthening system reliability, and optimizing cloud-native platforms. You will work in a fully remote, distributed environment supporting modern SaaS and enterprise-grade applications. The position requires deep expertise in automation, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery. You will contribute directly to platform scalability, observability, and operational excellence across production systems. This is a high-impact engineering role where reliability, speed, and automation are central to daily work. Your contributions will help shape the backbone of mission-critical cloud environments used at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across modern cloud platforms.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, reliability, and automation of software delivery processes.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments, ensuring performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform to enable repeatable and automated provisioning.
  • Enhance system observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes, deployment workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across infrastructure and applications, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime.
  • Support cloud security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvements in system performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK stack.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production incident resolution skills.
  • Good understanding of networking, security principles, and distributed systems (nice to have).
  • Experience working in SaaS, enterprise, or large-scale cloud environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in remote teams.
  • Cloud or Kubernetes certifications are considered an asset.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary based on experience and technical expertise
  • Fully remote role with flexibility across Canada and international teams
  • Opportunity to work with modern cloud-native technologies at scale
  • Long-term career growth in DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade infrastructure and automation initiatives
  • Collaborative, remote-first engineering culture
  • Work with high-growth international technology companies.
