Job Description

The Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort seeks an experienced Line Cook to join our team! As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing top-notch meals for our guests in the evening. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and food safety while adhering to the restaurant's recipes and procedures. We seek someone with a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence. If you have exceptional organizational and communication skills and a flair for creating delectable dishes, then this is the ideal role for you.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for customers according to restaurant recipes and guidelines

• Follow the restaurant’s health and safety regulations

• Monitor food stocks and place orders when necessary

• Check the quality of ingredients and inform the head chef of any discrepancies

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Ensure all dishes are presented and served in a timely manner

• Assist the head chef in developing new recipes

• Supervise and coordinate activities of other cooks

• Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition

• Monitor food waste and take steps to reduce it

• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to health and safety standards

• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner

• Train new staff in kitchen procedures

Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a PM cook

• Ability to cook simple and complex dishes while maintaining quality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to read and understand recipes

• Ability to accurately measure ingredients and follow instructions

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances

• Good communication skills and customer service skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
