Line Cook in Safety Harbor, Florida at Safety Harbor Resort & Spa

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is located in quaint Safety Harbor Florida, just minutes from Tampa. We are looking for AM & PM Line Cooks with at least 3 years of experience in fine dining cooking and should enjoy working in a busy high-volume kitchen. Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistency to maintain food presentation, food quality, food production, portion Control, food cost “waste” management, food sanitation, audit controls & practices
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Must be proactive and take full responsibility for maintaining the temperature log chart monitor all food temps and calibrate thermometers for the shift.
• Recordkeeping of the sanitation logbook and attend pre shift meetings
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chef/Sous Chef/and Food & Beverage Managers. While maintaining open lines of communication and support for the kitchen Management

• Consistency and quality, which adheres to any special dietary regulations.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong preparation knowledge and a la carte fine dining skills

• Previously worked in a similar kitchen environment and maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Good knowledge of sanitation and local health authority requirements
• Food managers’ certification if possible or food handlers’ card or equivalent
• Must speak and read English proficiently

• 3 or more years culinary experience in same or similar position

• Follow instructions and any lists that are given asking any questions if clarification is needed
