Position Description:

Make a difference every day as a Director of Dental Services!

Are you a licensed dentist and experienced leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality oral healthcare? We’re seeking a Director of Dental Services to oversee and enhance dental operations, lead clinical teams, and ensure exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll combine hands-on clinical expertise with strategic leadership to support quality outcomes, staff development, and operational excellence. What You'll Do

• Lead, design, and manage a Clinical Performance Enhancement Program for all dental providers to support quality care and professional development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain dentists and dental assistants in accordance with organizational and contractual requirements

• Ensure adequate dental coverage by managing provider schedules, on-site staffing, and on-call availability for emergency situations

• Conduct orientation and ongoing training programs for dental staff and nursing personnel, as applicable

• Plan and facilitate bi-monthly off-site meetings for dental staff to promote collaboration, education, and operational alignment

• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and support organizational quality and compliance goals

• Serve on interdisciplinary committees, including the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, as required

• Monitor compliance with company policies, client requirements, licensing standards, and accreditation regulations

• Foster a culture of trust, accountability, inclusion, and patient-centered care

What We're Looking For

Education

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school (required)

Experience

• Five (5) years of experience practicing dentistry (required)

• Five (5) years of management or leadership experience in a dental setting (required)

• Experience providing dental services within behavioral health, correctional healthcare, or mental health environments (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• Current, unrestricted Dental License in the state of practice (required)
