What the job is:
CPI is looking for someone who has a customer-service focus, is mechanically inclined, likes to work with their hands and enjoys working on vehicles. This person will greet customers warmly, and assist them with merchandise, services or energy orders. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed. Tire & Service Specialist will be safety-minded, customer-focused and concentrate on sales, inventory of products, housekeeping and perform tire services, general vehicle maintenance, vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Rotating on-call status for evenings and weekends is required.
- Being punctual and maintaining consistent attendance while being open to overtime is essential.
- Mechanical abilities to perform vehicle maintenance, inspections and diagnosis is required.
- Travel to farms, fields and remote locations to provide on-site services, emergency roadside assistance and field-based repairs using specialized equipment is required.
- Stock store shelves, displays and food service items.
- Follow safety guidelines and programs established by CPI and complete required safety reports, records while maintaining required certifications including forklift operation and propane cylinder handling.
- Maintain cleanliness both inside and outside of the service truck, keeping up-to-date daily maintenance logbooks, monthly fire extinguisher inspections and yearly inspections.
- Record sales transactions, receive payments and complete accurate and timely work orders.
- Perform assigned housekeeping duties inside and outside the location, assist the tire shop as needed and keep the location and company tools clean and orderly.
- Assist in monthly and yearly inventory accounting maintaining and organizing tire repair supplies, tubs and tire counts.
- Prepare management activity reports and keep the coordinator or management informed regarding operational, customer, vendor or employee issues.
