Important Program Note:
This Administrative Fellowship is a time-limited professional development opportunity (24 months) designed to provide structured training and experience within a human services organization.
While RCIL values the contributions of Administrative Fellows and may consider candidates for future opportunities, completion of the fellowship does not guarantee employment at the conclusion of the program, nor does it imply an obligation by either party to enter into ongoing employment.
Annual Non-Exempt Salary: $55,000($30.21 an hour)
Purpose The Administrative Fellowship is a structured, time-limited professional development program designed to provide a recent graduate with a Master’s degree (e.g., MHA, MBA, MPA, MPH, or related field) with hands-on experience in the management and operations of a human services organization. The Fellow will support organizational growth, program development, and operational initiatives while gaining exposure to executive leadership, cross-functional operations, and strategic decision-making. The program is designed to bridge academic learning with real-world application in a mission-driven environment serving individuals with disabilities.
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Support the identification, development, and implementation of new programs and service lines aligned with organizational goals.
- Assist with research, data analysis, and preparation of reports to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that support growth, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and implementation trackers.
- Analyze operational, financial, and program data to support leadership decision-making.
- Complete assigned special projects under the direction of the preceptor and leadership team.
- Participate in meetings with executive leadership and contribute to discussions on organizational strategy and performance.
- Observe and support organizational processes related to compliance, funding, and program implementation.
- Gather and analyze operational, financial, and market data to inform program design, implementation planning, and performance monitoring.
- Engage with internal departments (Finance, HR, Operations, Programs) to support coordination of initiatives.
- Must be flexible when needed to accommodate meetings/events outside regular business hours.
Education:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Masters in Public Health (MPH) or related field with demonstrated experience in analytics, finance, operations, or strategy.
Experience:
- Recent completion (or expected completion) of a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health or related field with demonstrated experience in analytics, finance, operations, or strategy.
- Prior internship or relevant experience in healthcare, human services, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of human services systems, population needs, and community-based service delivery.
- Familiarity with project management, data analysis, or financial concepts preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
