Description:

Job Overview:

The CMMS/Asset Management Technician maintains accurate facility asset, preventive maintenance, work-order, cost, material, and lifecycle information in DLA's Enterprise Business System (EBS) Plant Maintenance and related databases. The position supports infrastructure asset management through data collection, field verification, scheduling, reporting, user support, and continuous improvement.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update CMMS, EBS Plant Maintenance, asset-management databases, and related records to support accurate tracking of facility assets and maintenance activity.
  • Log, , track, and close preventive maintenance orders, demand maintenance orders, and project work orders in accordance with contract procedures.
  • Enter complete and accurate work descriptions, labor hours, technician names, parts, quantities, unit costs, materials, equipment usage, and completion information within required timeframes.
  • Develop and maintain equipment records, maintenance control designations, serial numbers, descriptions, work centers, building locations, , and service frequencies.
  • Maintain current preventive-maintenance schedules and monitor due dates, grace periods, open actions, and technical completion status.
  • coordinate with technicians and stakeholders to update asset identity, location, condition, and maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor for duplicate, incomplete, overdue, or inaccurate work orders and coordinate correction and reconciliation.
  • Support warranty tracking and ensure warranty records are complete and accurate.
  • assist staff in the proper use of asset-management tools, work-order workflows, data standards, and reporting procedures.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports and presentations for management and Government representatives.
  • Protect sensitive information and comply with applicable system-access, cybersecurity, records-management, environmental, and financial requirements.

Competencies:

  • CMMS asset-management and work-order lifecycle management.
  • Data accuracy, validation, and records control.
  • Reporting and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Technical support, training, and collaboration.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements/Education:

  • Experience as a CMMS operator supporting building equipment and systems in a similar commercial or public facility.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and in database or asset-management applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate asset, maintenance, labor, material, cost, and work-order records.
  • Ability to conduct communicate effectively with technicians, managers, vendors, , and Government representatives.
  • Ability to meet applicable DLA base access, account-provisioning, cybersecurity, system-access, and training requirements.
  • Ability to complete required site, safety, security, and annual refresher training.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP-based EBS Plant Maintenance or a comparable enterprise CMMS (Maximo).
  • Experience supporting facility operations and maintenance in a federal, military, industrial, or large commercial environment.
  • Experience with asset inventory, preventive-maintenance development, lifecycle analysis, warranty tracking, cost accounting, and data reporting.
  • Relevant CMMS, asset-management, facilities-management, or data-management training or certification.

Security Requirement:

  • Must satisfy installation access and background-screening requirements and obtain and maintain DBIDS credentials and a Common Access Card (CAC), as applicable.
