Job Description
Support Grant Development Excellence: Partner with the Grants Manager to coordinate proposals and reporting projects from kickoff through submission, helping ensure grant activities remain organized, on schedule, and executed with excellence and integrity.
Develop Compelling Grant Communications: Create high-quality proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, presentations, and related communications by gathering, organizing, and synthesizing program, budget, evaluation, financial, and supporting information from ministry leaders and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain the grants calendar and collaborate with ministry leaders, Finance, Publishing, and other departments to ensure proposal, reporting, stewardship, and grant-related deadlines are consistently met.
Maintain Grants Systems & Records: Manage CRM records, grant files, templates, proposal archives, and other grants office resources to support efficient and effective grant operations.
Support Foundation Stewardship: Coordinate reports, acknowledgements, executive briefing materials, visit logistics, and other communications that foster strong, long-term relationships with foundation partners.
Conduct Research & Portfolio Support: Research prospective funders and prepare foundation profiles, briefing materials, and background information that supports cultivation efforts, portfolio planning, and grant development strategies.
Facilitate Grant Operations: Prepare meeting agendas, notes, action items, and supporting materials for grant-related meetings and projects.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, professional writing, communications, project coordination, nonprofit development, or a related field.
Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and proofread with a high degree of accuracy while communicating clearly, persuasively, and professionally.
Project Coordination Expertise: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Information Synthesis & Analysis: Proven ability to gather, organize, and synthesize information from multiple stakeholders into compelling, well-structured written documents.
Technology & Systems Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office applications, databases, CRM systems, and other tools that support document management, reporting, and project coordination.
