The Marketing Instructor will be responsible for delivering live online courses, supporting student success, and creating meaningful learning experiences through engaging and practical instruction. This role requires strong communication skills, subject matter expertise, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to diverse learners.
- Teach 11-week live, synchronous online marketing courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.
- Deliver instruction across marketing topics such as principles of marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, consumer behavior, market research, influencer marketing, and personal branding.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
- Provide timely feedback, respond to student questions, and support learners throughout the course experience.
- Hold weekly office hours and guide students through academic challenges and career-focused learning.
- Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to support grading, student engagement, and course management.
- Evaluate student progress, maintain accurate grade records, and complete required course evaluations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Integrate modern educational technologies and AI-powered tools into teaching practices.
- Contribute industry expertise through guest sessions, networking events, and broader learning community activities.
The ideal candidate combines advanced marketing knowledge, professional industry experience, and a passion for teaching. Candidates should be comfortable leading online classrooms, using digital learning tools, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; a Master’s degree in another discipline combined with significant marketing industry experience may also be considered.
- PhD or equivalent advanced academic experience is welcomed.
- Minimum five years of recent experience in marketing strategy, marketing leadership, marketing operations, digital marketing, or related functions.
- Minimum two years of undergraduate-level teaching experience.
- Experience teaching online, synchronous, or hybrid courses preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing frameworks, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, consumer psychology, market research, branding, pricing, channels, and promotional strategies.
- Hands-on experience with modern marketing technology, including website optimization, CRO, SEM, analytics, SEO, and AI-driven marketing workflows preferred for digital marketing courses.
- Experience with social media strategy, influencer marketing, audience growth, content creation, sponsorships, and engagement metrics preferred for social-focused courses.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
- Comfortable using digital platforms, learning management systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Ability to adapt to new educational technologies and incorporate innovative teaching approaches.
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality online education.
- Availability to dedicate approximately 8–10 hours per week per course, including preparation, teaching, and student support.
- Competitive compensation:
- $8,000 per 4-credit course over an 11-week quarter.
- $5,000 per 1–2 credit course over an 11-week quarter.
