About the Organization & Department: Rock Lititz's Finance & Accounting team keeps the business's financial records accurate and audit ready as the company grows across multiple entities. This role was created to add general ledger and technical accounting coverage, including fixed assets, intercompany, deferred revenue, and tax filings, alongside the team's existing day-to-day accounting operations.
The Role: Rock Lititz is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to manage and oversee accounting functions for our entities, including general ledger, fixed asset, intercompany, and tax-related accounting activities. This role ensures accurate financial records and collaborates with the CFO and the accounting team to develop and implement new systems as the business grows.
What You will Do:
- Prepare intercompany elimination entries and reconciliations across entities.
- Reconcile deferred revenue accounts.
- Enter depreciation and amortization entries and true up any related discrepancies each month-end.
- Track fixed asset additions and deletions and maintain supporting fixed asset schedules.
- Manage loan-related reconciliations and documentation.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Update and reconcile CAM (Common Area Maintenance) and prepaid expense schedules.
- Prepare and file sales tax filings and related journal entries.
- Import and upload transactional data files to the ERP system.
- Maintain monthly financial worksheets for all entities.
- Assist with construction loan draw requests, including compiling Excel charts and documentation.
- Deposit checks remotely or in person and record all customer deposits.
Administrative:
- Oversee and organize filing systems for financial records.
- Backup and store digital records as needed.
Success Measures (Outcomes & Impact):
- Month-end close tasks (depreciation, accruals, and reconciliations) completed accurately and on schedule per the close calendar.
- Bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations completed each month with no unresolved discrepancies.
- Sales tax filings submitted accurately and on time in all applicable jurisdictions.
- Positive feedback from the CFO and cross-functional stakeholders on accuracy, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- Reduce the month end close timeline by 25%.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Proficiency in Excel and ERP system experience is required, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets modules.
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred but not required. Demonstrated success utilizing other ERP platforms in a multi-entity or complex accounting environment is acceptable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills, and the capacity to multitask. Must be adaptable and work independently when needed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information in writing, in person, and over the phone.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Primarily an office environment within Rock Lititz's campus.
- Frequent moving and lifting boxes, supplies, and packages of 20 lbs.
- Frequent use of manual dexterity to type, access files, and handle supplies.
