Job Description

Position Summary: The Patient Recruitment Specialist builds and maintains the site's patient database by identifying and implementing new methods for patient recruitment, contacting all new potential patients, and maintaining ongoing contact with all patients in the database. This role supports enrollment by phone screening, interviewing, and vetting prospective participants, and maintains all records associated with recruitment for all clinical research studies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become knowledgeable on all the components of study protocol by having effective communication with Clinical Research Coordinator, Physicians, and research staff
  • Build and maintain the site's patient database by identifying and implementing new methods for patient recruitment
  • Contact all new potential patients identified through the patient database, referrals, and advertising, and maintain ongoing contact with all patients in the database
  • Recruit patients by marketing various studies. This includes phone screening, vetting, and enrolling of patients
  • Network with medical providers to enhance the recruitment process
  • Review patient database for potential study participants
  • Create and place advertising materials
  • Manage company social media related to study advertising and recruitment
  • Interview and screen prospective study participants
  • Interact with and provide detailed and accurate information to the study team
  • Maintain all records associated with recruitment for all clinical research studies
  • Support audit and inspection readiness, including participation in sponsor audits, regulatory inspections, and internal quality reviews
  • Complete all required SOP training and company-required trainings as assigned and when updated
  • Maintain all required licenses and certifications and ensure they remain current and in good standing
  • Travel to company meetings, site locations, or study-related activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Classification: Non-Exempt, meaning that this position is entitled to overtime pay.

Timekeeping:

  • You are required to log your work hours in the Company's on-line payroll platform (ADP).
  • Time off must be cleared at least 2 weeks in advance by your manager.
  • If you are sick or dealing with an unexpected event that prevents you from working your scheduled workday, please let your manager know as soon as possible if you cannot work that day.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
    • ACRP or SOCRA certification (preferred)
  • Systems & Technology skills required:
    • Spreadsheet Software (Excel);
    • Word Processing Software (Word);
    • Electronic Mail Software (Outlook);
    • Presentation software (PowerPoint);
    • Experience with EDC systems (e.g., Medidata Rave, REDCap)
    • Experience with CTMS and/or eRegulatory/eTMF platforms (e.g., Veeva)
    • Experience with EMR/EHR systems
    • Experience with patient database or CRM software
  • Other skills required:
    • Fluency in Spanish
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
