Job Description

Tri-Century Eye Care is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. What You'll Do

  • Welcome patients, check them in, and ensure a smooth and friendly experience
  • Answer phones, complete tasks and assist patient in the call center
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
  • Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments
  • Handle billing questions and assist with financial inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Serve as a communication hub between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient concerns
  • Complete administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and document management
  • Support daily office operations to keep patient flow running efficiently

What we're looking for

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with basic office software
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology is a plus
  • Experience with insurance verification or medical billing preferred
  • Prior ophthalmology experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate

  • Mix of desk-based work and active patient interaction
  • Must adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Reliable transportation is necessary
