Method to assess remote work: Ongoing verbal feedback will be provided during weekly supervision meetings throughout each semester.
A formal written evaluation of the student employee's performance will be completed by the supervisor at the end of each semester, followed by a meeting to discuss the review.
The student employee will also have the opportunity to formally evaluate the supervisor at the end of each semester, as part of a reciprocal feedback process. Supervisor would like the feedback in order to improve her ability to supervise student employees.
Job Description
- Course Organization and Materials Management
- Organize and maintain course resources, including readings, handouts, recorded materials, and supplementary documents.
- Assist with formatting and preparing course syllabi to ensure clarity, consistency, and professional presentation; upload/update syllabi to Brightspace as resources become available/assigned.
- Align and update the Brightspace course page to accurately reflect the current course syllabus, including module structure, due dates, and posted materials.
- Organize course modules within Brightspace to ensure a logical, navigable, and student-ready course structure each semester.
- Create checklists and utilize the features of Brightspace to enhance student userability.
- Focus on principles of inclusive course design for equity and belonging.
- Research and Resource Development
- Research and identify current, relevant course resources including articles, book chapters,
videos, case studies, and other scholarly or clinical materials.
- Review and update existing course resources each semester to ensure materials remain
current, accurate, and clinically relevant.
- Prioritize sourcing materials that represent diverse perspectives and voices, with intentional
attention to representation across culture, ethnicity, race, disability status, age, sexual
orientation, gender identity and expression, and erotic and relational diversity, socioeconomic status, and other marginalized populations
- Assist in building and maintaining an organized resource library that can be drawn upon across course offerings.
- Present research findings and suggested resources to the supervisor for review and approval prior to inclusion in course materials.
- Scheduling and Deadline Management
- Attend and actively participate in a weekly 1-hour supervision meeting with the faculty supervisor.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments between the faculty supervisor and enrolled students, including office hours, individual check-ins, and advising meetings.
- Maintain and monitor the course calendar; proactively track upcoming deadlines and flag items requiring the supervisor's attention to support timely completion.
- Send reminders and follow-up communications as directed to help ensure deadlines are met.
- Communication and Student Support
- Respond to general, non-clinical student inquiries regarding course logistics, materials, and scheduling in a timely and professional manner.
- Route clinical, grading, or complex academic questions to the faculty supervisor.
- Assist with drafting course announcements and communications for supervisor review and approval.
- Confidentiality and Professional Standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all student records and information in accordance with FERPA guidelines and Antioch University policy.
- Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the ethical standards of the counseling and therapy profession.
- Assist with other course-related administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor, provided they fall within the scope of the supervisor's official duties at Antioch University.

- Qualifications
- Must be enrolled as a graduate student at Antioch University and demonstrate current eligibility for Federal Work-Study funding.
- Demonstrated personal or academic interest in issues related to sex, sexuality, gender identity, and relational diversity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with online platforms and remote work tools, including Zoom, email, and Brightspace
- Comfortable working in a fully online/remote environment; reliable internet access required.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and strict confidentiality in all interactions.
- Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Prior enrollment in or satisfactory completion of DMT 6480 (Introduction to Couples and Sex Therapy) and/or DMT 5180 (GSERD Diversity in Therapy), or equivalent coursework.
- Previous experience in an academic support, peer mentoring, or administrative role.
- Familiarity with GSERD affirming and sex-positive clinical frameworks.
- Experience formatting academic documents, syllabi, including Brightspace grade book and discussion board setup.
- Experience with working with neurodivergence in the professional setting.
