What You'll Do
As a Medication Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care while maintaining their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities include:
Safely administering medications while following the 7 Rights of Medication Administration
Accurately documenting medications using our Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system
Observing residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, or changes in condition and promptly reporting concerns to the nurse
Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed
Monitoring and documenting vital signs as assigned
Supporting residents during meals, hydration, and daily routines
Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the clinical team
Creating meaningful relationships with residents and families through compassionate, respectful care
Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Following all Thrive policies, state regulations, and infection prevention guidelines
Working collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and leadership to provide outstanding resident care

Is dependable, compassionate, and attentive to detail

Builds meaningful relationships with residents and coworkers
Maintains a positive attitude, even on busy days
Qualifications
Required:
Current Georgia Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing
Experience caring for individuals living with dementia
Experience using an electronic medication administration record (eMAR)
