Position: Senior Corporate Accountant
Department: Accounting
Exempt
Position Reports to: Corporate Controller
OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant.
What will you be doing most days?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs complex reconciliation of bank and multiple financial accounts using knowledge of Accounting principles and processes
- Completes journal entry preparation for multiple entities
- Performs, reconciles and invoices inter-company and multi-company transactions
- Analyzes financial transactions, introducing questions or conclusions to management
- Meets reporting deadlines with information required for company leadership and investors
- Performs accrual accounting for hotel parent level entities
- Delivers monthly financial reporting analysis, and other various month-end processes
- Utilizes accounting systems (Solomon, BI360) to provide current information needed by company leadership
- Completion of year-end audit requests
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED
- A four-year college degree with major in Accounting. Minimum five years experience in a multi-unit accounting role desired.
- Knowledge or experience in hospitality preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a professional business setting both verbally and in writing.
- Significant expertise in spreadsheet modeling and presentation preparation required.
- Interpersonal communication abilities.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
What are the requirements for this position?
· You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus five years of accounting experience
· We prefer CPA designation
Physical Requirements for this Position
This is largely a sedentary role; however, you must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight.
