Starting pay is dependent upon experience. Regular quarterly raise schedule from 3 months until top out pay (currently $33.32) is reached.
This is an onsite position, no remote work available.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Drafting Team creates the production drawings and job specifications necessary to fabricate high quality wire products. They are responsible for accurately interpreting drawings and sketches and then creating formal production drawings using our general drafting standards.
The 3D CAD Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models and standard production drawings for manufactured parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor. This role supports engineering, manufacturing, and production teams by developing detailed technical documentation that meets company standards, dimensional requirements, and fabrication needs.
The 3D CAD Drafter converts design concepts, sketches, and engineering input into organized and production-ready drawings, bills of materials, and model files. Responsibilities include updating existing drawings, maintaining drawing revisions, ensuring consistency across documentation, and assisting with standardization of drafting practices.
This position requires strong technical drafting skills, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
- Create 3D part and assembly models in Autodesk Inventor
- Produce detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings
- Apply dimensions, tolerances, notes, and material specifications
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control standards
- Generate and manage bills of materials (BOMs)
- Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or documentation issues
- Organize CAD files and maintain accurate project records
- Modify existing models and drawings as needed for production updates
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office setting with low to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people moving about.
- 10 hour work days – 4 days per week.
- Mandatory overtime depending on operation schedule.
- Work alone or with other co-workers.
- Steady pace with set productivity goals to be met each day.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Autodesk Inventor: 1 year (Required, 2 Preferred)
- Autodesk AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor in a manufacturing environment (Autodesk Inventor preferred, other parametric, engineering-grade, and mechanical design platforms such as SOLIDWORKS, Onshape, PTC Creo, Solid Edge, and Autodesk Fusion 360 will be considered as well)
- Understanding of mechanical drafting principles and GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and file management systems
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred
