Job Description

TecMasters Inc requires a Cannon Artillery Munitions Specialist to provide senior-level subject matter expertise for cannon artillery munitions integration, doctrine development, training modernization, and operational support across the Army’s Field Artillery enterprise.

Personel Must Have:

  • A minimum 15 years’ experience within the DoD. This experience must include as a minimum: ten (10) years’ experience in Field Artillery units/organizations with a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Cannon Artillery units/organizations.
  • A Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and/or training in combat/capability developments and/or acquisition process IAW DoD Directive 5000.02; including the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) integration of cannon artillery systems; Prefer no longer than 36 months from last government employment.
  • Possess a SECRET security clearance.

Personnel Will:

  • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cannon artillery munitions integration across DOTMLPF-P domains.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate current and emerging artillery munition capabilities and modernization efforts.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), design reviews, operational testing, and developmental test events.
  • Develop recommendations regarding munition requirements, compliance, safety policies, serviceability, and fielding efforts.
  • Draft and update cannon artillery tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), doctrine, and Field Artillery manuals.
  • Coordinate with training and simulation organizations to ensure TADSS accurately reflects current and future munition capabilities.
  • Support STRAC ammunition coordination to maintain operational and institutional training readiness.
  • Track force structure changes and provide input to BOIPs, AAOs, FDUs, and unit basic load planning.
  • Develop monthly status reports, executive summaries, briefing materials, talking papers, fact sheets, and decision papers for senior leadership.
  • Prepare and present munition capability briefings for Army, TRADOC, DoD, and foreign military audiences.
  • Analyze combat munition usage, field feedback, and operational storyboards to support capability development and sustainment decisions.
  • Participate in weekly staff calls and provide ongoing updates on critical munition activities, testing, fielding, and modernization efforts.
