This is a strategic technology leadership role focused on connecting Commercial IT strategy with disciplined, enterprise-wide execution.
You will orchestrate a complex portfolio of global initiatives spanning CRM, content, omnichannel, analytics, AI, and emerging commercial technologies.
Working closely with senior business and technology leaders, you will align priorities, roadmaps, investments, dependencies, and operating models.
The role serves as a critical bridge between long-term technology vision and measurable business outcomes across a global, matrixed organization.
You will influence executive decisions, strengthen portfolio governance, and create greater visibility into risks, value, and performance.
Success will depend on your ability to bring structure to complexity, influence without direct authority, and keep diverse teams aligned around common goals.

- Serve as a strategic advisor to Commercial IT leadership, helping shape enterprise technology strategy, priorities, investment decisions, and transformation opportunities.
- Partner with commercial business leaders to translate strategic priorities into integrated technology roadmaps and coordinated execution plans.
- Orchestrate a global Commercial Technology portfolio spanning CRM, CMS, marketing technology, omnichannel capabilities, content lifecycle, analytics, AI, and emerging technologies.
- Align priorities, funding, timelines, resources, dependencies, and cross-functional roadmaps to maximize enterprise value and maintain strategic coherence.
- Identify and proactively manage portfolio-level risks, resource constraints, interdependencies, and opportunities across multiple strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate execution between capability leaders, architects, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and external system integration partners.
- Facilitate enterprise-level decision-making, remove organizational barriers, and ensure strategic programs remain aligned with business objectives through implementation and adoption.
- Establish consistent portfolio governance practices, including steering committees, executive reporting, RAID management, RACI models, escalation processes, and standardized delivery methodologies.
- Develop and implement a value realization framework that defines expected business outcomes and tracks performance before, during, and after technology investments.
- Establish KPIs covering adoption, productivity, customer experience, operational efficiency, financial value, and organizational maturity.
- Prepare executive-level portfolio, financial, performance, and strategic planning reports to support prioritization and informed decision-making.
- Recommend optimization opportunities and future investment priorities based on measurable business outcomes and portfolio performance.
- Promote a long-term Commercial Technology vision that balances innovation, scalability, governance, execution discipline, and business value.
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial IT, enterprise technology, strategic portfolio management, digital transformation, or comparable technology leadership roles.
- Strong experience partnering with commercial business functions, ideally with knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing, omnichannel engagement, content and campaign operations, field enablement, analytics, and related commercial capabilities.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives involving multiple business and technology organizations.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead strategic governance without having direct ownership of delivery teams or individual technology platforms.
- Strong experience managing complex portfolios with significant cross-program dependencies, competing priorities, and organizational complexity.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial technology ecosystems and the capabilities supporting sales, marketing, customer engagement, content operations, analytics, and omnichannel experiences.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, technology operating models, governance frameworks, portfolio management, and business case development.
- Experience defining KPIs, value realization frameworks, executive dashboards, strategic planning materials, and performance reporting.
- Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker who can translate enterprise-level vision into coordinated, measurable execution.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable influencing across global, matrixed organizations and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Results-oriented approach with strong ownership, accountability, judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and supporting global stakeholders.
- United States remote position, with Eastern Time Zone availability preferred.
- Willingness and flexibility to collaborate with international teams as business needs require.
- Salary range of $95,000–$193,000, with exact compensation determined by factors such as skills, experience, and location.
