The Role
Are you passionate about Human Resources? Crescendo is looking for an amazing Senior HR Generalist to help us support operations in the Tegucigalpa hub. As a Human Resources Senior Generalist at Crescendo, you’ll be the link between associates, leaders, and the different departments, including the People Operations team, managing core HR processes while supporting strategic initiatives that improve the employee experience, aligned to the company policies, local laws, and the Crescendo Culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with our Operations team to provide day-to-day support and guidance on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, payroll, HR processes, the Employee Handbook, engagement initiatives, guidelines, and other People resources.
- Independently handle employee relations matters of varying complexity, including employee concerns and grievances, performance and disciplinary matters, workplace conflicts, and other sensitive situations, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with company policies and Honduran labor requirements.
- Facilitate and document disciplinary meetings, employee hearings, investigations, and conflict resolution conversations, using sound judgment to de-escalate situations, recommend appropriate next steps, and escalate higher-risk matters to HR leadership when needed.
- Provide coaching and practical guidance to people leaders on employee relations, performance management, documentation, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and the consistent application of company policies and HR processes.
- Support the Company in matters involving the Honduran Ministry of Labor and other labor authorities, including preparing documentation, attending meetings or conciliations when required, and coordinating appropriate follow-up with HR leadership.
- Support wellness, culture, and employee engagement initiatives by facilitating focus groups, skip-level conversations, group discussions, and other employee listening mechanisms that promote transparent communication and help identify workplace trends and opportunities.
- Identify trends across employee relations cases, attendance, performance, engagement, and other available people data, and surface observations, potential risks, and recommendations to HR leadership.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and support HRIS governance and data integrity by identifying inconsistencies and helping ensure employee records and HR transactions are accurate, timely, and aligned with established processes and internal standards.
- Lead or support the implementation of assigned HR projects, systems, tools, and process improvements, partnering with relevant stakeholders to document workflows, support adoption, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support Learning & Development and other company-wide People initiatives by facilitating workshops, supporting development opportunities, and contributing to programs and initiatives based on business needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, HR Centers of Excellence, vendors, and strategic partners, while serving as an experienced HR resource to employees, leaders, and other HR team members through knowledge sharing, best practices, and guidance on established HR processes.
What We Expect From You:
- 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with hands-on experience in employee relations, HR operations, performance management, or related areas.
- Strong working knowledge of Honduran labor law, disciplinary procedures, and HR best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day employee situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, evaluate information from multiple sources, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Proficiency in HR reporting and data analysis, including the ability to organize and interpret people data, identify trends and inconsistencies, and prepare clear reports or summaries to support HR and business decision-making.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, HRIS and employee relations systems is preferred.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities, cases, deadlines, and assigned projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, navigate difficult conversations, and effectively communicate with employees and leaders at different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential employee information, with the ability to recognize when matters require additional guidance or escalation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable, with a demonstrated ability to work independently while remaining collaborative and responsive to the broader HR team.
- Takes initiative, approaches employees and leaders with empathy, and demonstrates a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
What You’ll Get In Return:
- Competitive base salary
- Generous paid time off
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision options that are applicable per country of residence for all our full-time employees
- Access to free posture-based fitness workouts from home, paid Sabbatical Leave
