Materials Handler Essential Job Duties:

• Receives packages upon delivery, checking paperwork and computer system as needed for staging and distribution.
• Ensures delivered packages are staged at the proper temperature based on the package label or notes in the system.
• Ensures distribution is to the appropriate end user and signatures are obtained and stored for record.
• Transports supplies and equipment, including medical gases.
• Assists with equipment finding, moving, cleaning, as needed.
• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the supplies, equipment, Storeroom, and loading dock.
• Assists with stocking supplies in the Storeroom using FIFO method.
• Assists with routine physical inventory.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Education, Training & Experience

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license
• Function grasp of standard written and verbal English.
• Accomplished at basic business math.
• Basic computer and computer keyboard experience.
• Flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the department.
• Experience in inventory methods preferred.
