Job Description

About the Role:

Accomplish the organization's strategic objectives by scheduling the work activity of the Maintenance Technicians. Prepares efficient & effective work plans for all preventive, predictive, & condition-based maintenance work. Ensures all necessary parts are available, proper internal & external labor resources are available, & coordinates scheduling through the Operations Team. Maintains the flow of information between Operations, Maintenance, & Engineering. Identifies & escalates problems proactively and participates in process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a skilled trade or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance planning, scheduling, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
  • 3–5 years of CMMS experience, with SAP preferred.
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment documentation.
  • Strong planning, organizational, communication, and change management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with production needs and resource availability.
  • Manage work orders, equipment records, PM programs, and maintenance history within the CMMS (SAP/Antero), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor maintenance backlog, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to PM tasks, frequencies, equipment reliability, and overall maintenance performance.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, spare parts, vendors, and contractors to ensure efficient execution of scheduled maintenance work.
  • Support daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings, providing updates on schedules, priorities, and maintenance performance metrics.
  • Maintain calibration records, equipment certifications, and required maintenance documentation to support operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Generate and analyze maintenance reports and KPIs, including PM compliance, schedule adherence, downtime, and backlog management.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, regulatory, and company standards while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail in scheduling, materials, and documentation.
  • Self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills, able to coordinate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, using data and system information to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Work Environment:

  • Food manufacturing facility producing cheese sauce and pudding
  • Combination of office-based planning and time on the plant floor
  • Must be able to:
    • Walk production areas and inspect equipment
    • Occasionally lift up to 25–30 lbs
    • Work flexible hours to support scheduling needs
