Job Description
City: Oskaloosa, IA · Type: Full-time, Part-time · Openings: 2 · Pay field: $13 to $16 per hour
Daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with no nights and no regular weekends on the full-time opening. We have two Direct Support Professional openings in Oskaloosa community supports: one full-time role providing hourly supports, and one part-time role in our LINC program. The LINC program is an opportunity to help clients engage in community activities that take place in the evenings and on weekends.
Shifts available
• Full-time hourly supports: Monday to Friday, with hours that vary by day. Monday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. That is about 41 scheduled hours
• Part-time LINC program: days vary according to the monthly LINC calendar
What you'll do
• Provide hourly in-home and community supports, including skill building, errands, and meals
• Support people during LINC program activities
• Assist with personal care when needed and keep clear notes

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• The ability to pass background checks
Pay: $13 to $16 per hour.

Requirements:Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Must possess bask knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
- Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
- Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
- Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist.
- Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency.
- Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly.
- Must have access to a telephone.
- Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company’s insurance.
