Granulator Operator in Neenah, Wisconsin at Vytron

Summary: Loads, unloads, assembles, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates granulating equipment. Starts and stops the granulator. Feeds scrap material into the granulator. Helps to disassemble, clean, and reassemble the granulator. Operates a forklift to carry material to or from the granulator to or from storage areas. Follows oral and/or written instructions and writes simple reports in the logbook.
• Assembles spools and/or packaging per oral instructions, using glue gun and/or staple gun and manual hand motions. Carries or hauls necessary parts to the assembly site.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks by carrying or helping to carry cartons onto or from trucks to or from areas in the storage warehouse.
• Catches and packages plastic parts on the production line. Catches random lengths of material as they are cut by automatic equipment and lays or coils them into a carton. Moves or helps to move the full carton from the operating area.
• Performs housekeeping duties by sweeping the floor in his/her work area or other work areas. Empties or helps to empty trash cans or bins. Removes cardboard and/or other debris from work areas to storage areas or trash bins.
• Performs any duties at the discretion of the shift supervisor, provided he is qualified through cross-training to perform these duties. The shift supervisor will determine qualifications for such duties.

Education and/or Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must be certified to operate a forklift.
