About This Position
Lammle’s Western Wear and Tack operating since 1983, is family owned and operated in Calgary, Alberta. With stores located throughout Western Canada, we serve both rural and urban centers. We provide authentic western wear for the entire family, in addition to selections of tack for both Western and English equine enthusiasts.
Overview
Our Asset Protection Specialist (APS) will work closely with our teams to create an environment that is positive and maintains a culture of compliance in Health & Safety. Our APS is a critical role and ensure we are responding to Loss Prevention and Health & Safety concerns effectively and protecting our internal and external customers at all times
What you’ll do
• Drives a low-risk culture that improves shortages, while increasing Loss Prevention awareness
• Parter’s with local police as required
• Identify opportunities to improve shrink and impact the overall operational excellence
• Participate in store level audits
• Supports in the proper handling of escalated customer situations
• Responsible for identifying and collecting details pertaining to investigations and proper file keeping
• Works in partnership with all business partners, and store leaders to ensure all asset protection initiatives are executed and compliant
• Maintains an open and effective line of communication with the field team
• Drives execution of safety programs and ensures adherence with company standards and store policies
• Maintains alarm/key records and creates, implements and maintains best practises
• Reviews monthly safety audits and identifies risks and takes appropriate partnerships
• Support’s the IT department with potential cyber risks that could threaten assets within the organization
• Reviews (existing) company policies and communication pertaining to Health and Safety and Loss Prevention
• Creates new policies as identified to help maintain compliance
• Stay’s up to date with occupational compliance and employment standards directly impacting the health and safety of teams and customers

The Asset Protection Specialist will report to the Director of Human Resources. This position is considered an in-office role. Your time would be split between the stores and office. Travel could be upwards of 50% of the time and spread amongst BC, AB and SK.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of Retail Loss Prevention experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to various locations
- Reliable cell phone with data plan
