Mercy Flights is Hiring a Temporary Opportunity: Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable Focus)

The Finance Department is offering a temporary opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to support essential accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable.

This position will assist with invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and timely payments, as well as supporting related duties in payroll, reconciliations, and deposits.

🔹 Position Details:

• Status: Temporary (up to 3 months with a possibility to extend)
• Schedule: Full-time preferred (Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours/week, between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Department: Finance

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounts payable process: reconcile vendor statements, accurately code and enter invoices, and process payments
• Manage employee credit cards and expense reports
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure alignment with the billing system
• Process deposits and maintain petty cash
• Assist with payroll support, financial reconciliations, and documentation for audits

🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or finance roles
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll records
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
