The BILSTEIN COLD ROLLED STEEL facility in Bowling Green, KY is the company’s first United States manufacturing operation. It serves the automotive industry, automotive supply industry, as well as, the saw and tooling industry with tailor- made steel grades.

Position: Inside Sales Representative Overall Duties

In collaboration with the Supply Chain, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for

building a sustainable and trustworthy relationship with the customer through various forms of communication and interaction. The Inside Sales Representative will act as the liaison between the customer and BILSTEIN COLD ROLLED STEEL. Working closely with Outside Sales, the Inside Sales Representative will be the first point of reference for customers when communicating specific requests, order status, order updates, and material specifications. Inside Sales will collaborate daily with Operations, Purchasing, Material Technology, and Accounting teams in an effort to monitor the purchasing, inbound, planning, processing, and shipment of customer material. Specific responsibilities include:

Customer Management & Cultivation:

• Provide customer updates on a weekly basis

• Ensure that customer demands are met and coordinate product scheduling & updates with Production Planning to ensure compliance with planned production requirements

• Coordinate weekly meetings with Outside Sales and customers to review order status

• Participate in weekly internal meetings to review order status, quality concerns, etc.

• Perform exceptional tasks within SCM/Operations for special cases with customers

Order Management:

• Enter Purchase Orders and provide Order Confirmations in a timely manner

• Responsible for building shipments & coordinating pick-up of material for customers who are Customer Pick-Up (CPU)

• Coordinating shipments with Logistics on a weekly basis once material is available for shipment

Administrative & System Management:

• New customer set-up in system

• Monitor budget projections of inbound orders vs. pending orders

• Weekly Workflow monitoring of customer accounts (Past-due invoices, pending payment, etc.)

• Be apprised on inventory status across Supply Chain related to your customers

• Work with Accounting on issuing customer credits, returns, claims, etc.

Lead Qualification:

• Research and reach out to prospective leads through cold calls or emails to qualify their needs

• Determine fit by assessing CRS interest, steel product usage, and decision-making authority

• Handoff qualified leads to Outside Sales Representatives

Qualifications:

- Experience: Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel/metal manufacturing.

- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

- Strong organizational skills.

- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and have a working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP).

- Excellent time management and delegation abilities.

- Comfortable with taking on additional job responsibilities outside of those noted in Main & Secondary Tasks

- Trustworthy demeanor to work with all levels of manufacturing

- German and Spanish speaking abilities desired but not required

Requirements:

- Ability to work face to face both in-office & at BILSTEIN COLD ROLLED STEEL Plant on a full- time basis.

- At-home office capabilities when needed (internet, monitors, aesthetically pleasing appearance & environment when on camera).

- Flexibility to travel (Domestic & International) to customers overnight

- Hold consistent work hours based on customer time zones (Central/Eastern)
