About Lu-Tek Shading Systems
Lu-Tek Shading Systems is a family-owned premier manufacturer and installer of custom architectural shading solutions. We specialize in delivering high-quality, innovative products for commercial and institutional projects nationwide. We work closely with general contractors, owners/developers, and architects on new construction and remodels of commercial buildings, as well as outdoor living spaces.
Position Summary
Commercial Estimator is responsible for providing timely and accurate estimates along with generating sales, from both our existing customer base and new customers. The role involves developing and building strong relationships with key clients, including general contractors, developers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposals: Prepares, coordinates and communicates price quotations for projects of all sizes.
- Estimating: Estimates the amounts of materials, parts, manufacturing hours and installation hours for price quotations.
- Communication: Follow up with general contractors via phone and email on bid results
- Product Selection: Assists with the selection of products best suited for customers’ project needs.
- Reporting: Weekly reporting at senior team member sales meeting on activities such as quotes, awards, cold calling activities and feedback.
- Experience: Experience as a Commercial Estimator or similar role, preferably in the construction or shading solutions industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Knowledge: General construction knowledge with ability to read plans and specifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools, preferably with Hubspot. Experience with Bluebeam preferred.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills to identify and address challenges.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach to working with other departments and stakeholders. In person Monday-Friday position.
- Customer-Focused: Commitment to providing exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
