| General Description | The Workforce Development Division at the Community College of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and skilled practitioner to serve as an adjunct faculty member for our Precision Machining CNC program. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Precision Machining, particularly Computer Numeric Controls (CNC), and be capable of effectively instructing students in both theoretical and practical aspects of CNC operation, with a high-level of experience working with Haas equipment. This role plays a key part in preparing students for careers in advanced manufacturing, ensuring they gain the essential skills needed to operate CNC machines and other equipment while preparing for the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification. As this program grows, there may be potential for this part-time faculty role to develop into a full-time opportunity. Schedule: Classes are held during weekdays, typically one day per week, generally between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, with the potential for additional days. Some evening classes may also be scheduled. Please note that course schedules may change and are based on the College’s student needs and enrollment. Compensation: Hourly rate of $50-$60 an hour. Our division offers a comprehensive menu of high-quality continuing education and career training programs delivered by expert faculty. We serve diverse business lines, including Continuing Education and Career Training, Contract Training, Corporate College, Small Business Training, and Workforce Testing.
