Instructional Design & Trainer, Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Instructional Design & Trainer, Associate based in the United States.

This is a remote opportunity for an early-career learning professional to help design and deliver engaging training experiences in a healthcare technology environment.
You’ll create and maintain learning content, job aids, documentation, and eLearning materials that help end users confidently adopt new systems and workflows.
The role combines instructional design, training coordination, technical learning support, and classroom facilitation.
You’ll collaborate with senior instructional designers, training managers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality education programs.
Your work will support onboarding, go-live activities, demonstrations, and ongoing end-user education.
This is a collaborative environment where attention to detail, clear communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
The role offers an opportunity to build practical instructional design expertise while contributing to technology-enabled healthcare outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Learn assigned applications, systems, and relevant healthcare, clinical, and operational workflows to create effective role-based training.
  • Develop, write, edit, and maintain scenario-based learning content, course materials, job aids, screenshots, documentation, templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with eLearning development, new-hire education, system demonstrations, go-live support, onboarding, and end-user training initiatives.
  • Build, maintain, test, and prepare training environments and ensure all materials and resources are ready for scheduled sessions.
  • Support the logistics, coordination, and delivery of classroom and end-user training programs.
  • Collaborate with Training Managers, Senior Instructional Designers, and other instructional design teams on content development, testing, integration, and delivery.
  • Support project work plans, resource coordination, meeting planning, schedules, reporting, and training-related processes and tools.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, outstanding activities, risks, and potential issues, escalating unresolved concerns when appropriate.
  • Review final training materials for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality before delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions concerning training activities, changes, communications, issues, and process improvements.
  • Maintain organized learning content repositories and support the ongoing management of training assets.
  • Follow applicable corporate policies and healthcare privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1–2 years of experience in a corporate, technical, instructional design, or learning environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant hands-on experience may substitute for formal education, with directly applicable professional experience considered in lieu of a degree where permitted.
  • Experience developing detailed written coursework, instructional materials, screenshots, eLearning content, and other learning resources.
  • Experience creating and following project or work plans and supporting structured learning-content development processes.
  • Knowledge or understanding of the payer and healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to transform complex concepts and processes into clear, accessible learning materials for different audiences.
  • Demonstrated creativity and sound judgment when developing solutions to complex instructional or operational challenges.
  • Ability to assess potential risks, understand their impact, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain quality standards, follow established instructional design practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidential information.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication and accountability.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual compensation: $53,840–$67,300, with placement based on relevant experience and skill level.
  • Comprehensive health benefits designed to provide coverage and support for employees.
  • Paid time off to support work-life balance and personal needs.
  • Retirement savings opportunities.
  • Corporate wellness programs supporting employee health and wellbeing.
  • Educational assistance to support continued professional development and learning.
  • Corporate discounts and additional employee programs.
  • Fully remote work environment, providing flexibility while collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare technology and learning initiatives that support better outcomes for people and communities.
