Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time.

Job Description:

This job is essentially a community service and tutoring position focused on helping children improve in reading, math, and science while also supporting community programs.

Job Duties:

• Tutor students in reading, math, and science, especially students who need added academic support.
• Work with elementary, middle, and high school students, including at-risk students.
• Maintain tutoring materials and keep the tutoring area organized.
• Maintain records and prepare reports related to student tutoring.
• Travel to different work sites using your own transportation.
• Ability to provide your own transportation to and from sites

Preferred Qualifications:

• Patience and ability to work with children.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic reading, math, and science knowledge.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a Site Coordinator.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
