Job Description

Team Lead, Provider Relations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead, Provider Relations Manager based in United States.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare commercial or provider engagement professional. You will lead a team of Provider Relations Managers responsible for driving provider adoption, engagement, retention, and growth across multiple markets. The role combines people leadership with hands-on field coaching, requiring regular engagement with physicians, clinic teams, and healthcare stakeholders. You will use performance data to identify opportunities, strengthen execution, and develop action plans for underperforming providers and markets. Working cross-functionally, you will help remove workflow barriers and improve how providers incorporate remote monitoring solutions into everyday care. The position offers significant influence over team performance, customer relationships, and market growth. It is well suited to an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-moving healthcare environment and enjoys developing people through coaching and real-world field execution.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage a pod of Provider Relations Managers, taking accountability for individual and overall team performance through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, field observations, coaching, and ongoing feedback.
  • Own team performance against provider growth, ordering, engagement, retention, churn reduction, and new provider onboarding objectives.
  • Partner with team members to develop targeted strategies for providers, clinics, and markets that are not meeting expectations.
  • Translate performance data and account insights into clear priorities, action plans, and measurable execution plans.
  • Establish and reinforce consistent operating rhythms covering provider onboarding, follow-up, clinic engagement, Salesforce hygiene, and field activity.
  • Spend approximately 2–3 weeks per month in the field alongside Provider Relations Managers, observing customer interactions, providing real-time coaching, and supporting high-priority opportunities.
  • Model effective provider conversations, clinic engagement strategies, objection handling, workflow development, and clear ordering and referral discussions.
  • Identify workflow barriers that limit provider adoption or ordering and develop repeatable solutions that can be scaled across markets.
  • Build and continuously improve playbooks, talk tracks, training materials, onboarding resources, and tools used by the provider relations team.
  • Collaborate closely with Growth, Product, Care Delivery, and Partnerships teams to address enablement gaps and improve provider engagement as the business scales.
  • Use CRM data and performance metrics to maintain visibility into account health, team execution, and market opportunities.
  • Promote strong accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and high standards of field execution across the team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading commercial, sales, field account management, provider engagement, customer success, or similar teams.
  • Experience managing at least five direct reports or an equivalent team scope, with responsibility for measurable monthly or quarterly performance goals.
  • Demonstrated provider-facing healthcare experience influencing physicians, clinic staff, health system stakeholders, or healthcare operators.
  • Proven ability to improve individual and team performance through coaching, feedback, metric inspection, and clear accountability.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare environments and the ability to navigate complex provider and clinic relationships.
  • Experience with relationship management, adoption, retention, growth, or customer engagement in a healthcare or technology setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into practical priorities and execution strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and influence stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, advanced primary care management, value-based care, ACOs, digital health, healthcare SaaS, medical devices, or specialty healthcare is advantageous.
  • Experience developing playbooks, onboarding programs, field operating rhythms, or enablement resources is a plus.
  • Fluency with AI research and productivity tools, combined with the judgment to evaluate AI-generated insights and distinguish meaningful signals from noise.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 2–3 weeks per month for in-market coaching and customer engagement.
  • Access to a well-connected major airport and the ability to travel efficiently between markets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive between provider and clinic visits while working in-market.
Benefits
  • Expected on-target earnings of approximately $190,000–$220,000, depending on experience, skills, seniority, location, and business needs.
  • Total compensation combining base salary, variable incentive compensation, and equity.
  • Competitive compensation and equity opportunities.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Home office stipend.
  • Collaborative, fast-moving environment with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.
  • Benefits may vary based on job profile, career level, worker type, and location.
