Job Description

Sr Manager, People Team Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Manager, People Team Operations based in United States.

This is a strategic HR operations leadership role responsible for keeping global People Team processes aligned, efficient, and scalable.
You will connect regional HR teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to create consistency across multiple locations.
The role combines global HR operations, project portfolio management, compliance coordination, and operational excellence.
You will lead complex initiatives from planning through execution while maintaining clear visibility into priorities, risks, and outcomes.
A key focus will be strengthening governance, simplifying workflows, and introducing automation and AI-enabled improvements.
You will also help ensure HR practices remain compliant with evolving labor, privacy, and regulatory requirements across regions.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, self-directed HR operations leader who thrives in complex, global environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and align HR operations processes across global sites, including onboarding and offboarding, HRIS workflows, data integrity, policy administration, and related operational activities.
  • Act as a trusted resource for regional HR operations questions, balancing global standards with local requirements and practices.
  • Partner with regional HR business partners to identify process gaps, establish consistent workflows, and improve operational effectiveness across geographies.
  • Manage the People Team project portfolio, including prioritization, timelines, stakeholder communication, risk tracking, and post-project retrospectives.
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives such as HRIS upgrades, policy implementations, employee engagement surveys, and other strategic programs from kickoff through completion.
  • Build and maintain project tracking, reporting, and governance mechanisms that provide leadership with clear visibility into progress, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
  • Lead compliance audit readiness across global locations, coordinating requirements related to SOX, labor regulations, data privacy, and other HR-related compliance matters.
  • Own the HR compliance audit calendar, evidence collection, documentation, and coordination with Legal, Finance, regional HR teams, and site leaders.
  • Establish and continuously improve People Team operating standards, including SOPs, governance frameworks, process documentation, service metrics, and change-management practices.
  • Drive process simplification, automation, and AI-enabled operational improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, analyze performance data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams independently while maintaining high standards of organization, execution, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in HR operations, HR program or project management, or a comparable cross-functional operations leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global, international, or multi-site organizations with complex operational requirements.
  • Proven experience leading compliance audits rather than simply participating in them, with exposure to areas such as SOX, labor law, or data privacy.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders without relying on a large team for delegation.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing complex transactions, operational questions, and competing priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong understanding of global HR processes, operational governance, policy administration, and process standardization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data privacy frameworks such as GDPR or DPDP and labor relations practices such as works councils or Betriebsrat is preferred.
  • Exposure to compensation, benefits administration, payroll handoffs, or related HR functions is preferred.
  • Experience within SaaS, aerospace, or other global, multi-entity organizations is advantageous.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • CIPD, SHRM-CP, or an equivalent professional certification is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $143,000 to $175,000, depending on experience, qualifications, market conditions, and business considerations.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer-paid health premiums.
  • Open paid time off policy.
  • 401(k) plan with up to 10% company matching and immediate vesting.
  • 12 weeks of paid maternity leave.
  • 12 weeks of paid paternity leave.
  • Flight training rewards.
  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Opportunities to contribute to challenging global initiatives and make a direct impact on People Team operations.
  • A supportive environment focused on professional development and employee wellbeing.
  • Equal opportunity employment with support for veterans and individuals with disabilities.
