Database Developer/Architect (Oracle)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Database Developer/Architect (Oracle) based in United States.

This remote role offers the opportunity to shape and modernize enterprise-scale Oracle database environments supporting complex multi-cloud transformation initiatives.
You will help design, administer, optimize, and modernize mission-critical databases across hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
The position combines hands-on database engineering with architecture, performance optimization, automation, and cloud migration.
You will collaborate closely with cloud engineers, application teams, cybersecurity specialists, and customer stakeholders.
Your work will directly contribute to secure, resilient, scalable, and high-performing data operations.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, manage, and support the administration, architecture, performance, and optimization of Oracle database platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Design and support database solutions that integrate Oracle technologies with broader multi-cloud architectures in collaboration with cloud engineering, application, cybersecurity, and customer teams.
  • Drive database modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations, operational automation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and adoption of scalable multi-cloud practices.
  • Work with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, and 21c, as well as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, OCI Database Services, Autonomous Database, and DB Systems.
  • Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL solutions while supporting reliable database operations, backup and recovery, and data migration activities.
  • Apply database engineering practices that improve system resilience, availability, scalability, and operational performance.
  • Support DevSecOps and cloud integration workflows while ensuring database environments align with security and mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and customer stakeholders to translate business and mission needs into effective database architectures and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements across enterprise environments.
  • Contribute to continuous modernization by evaluating emerging database, cloud, automation, and multi-cloud technologies.
  • Support customer-facing initiatives and occasional travel as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in database development, database engineering, database administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, with practical experience in database development and optimization.
  • Experience with Oracle performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and database migration.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) database services and familiarity with multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Autonomous Database, and other Oracle database technologies is highly valuable.
  • Experience with database migration and backup/recovery tools such as Data Pump and GoldenGate.
  • Experience supporting Oracle databases within hybrid or multi-cloud architectures is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, database architecture, and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud engineers, application developers, cybersecurity professionals, and customer stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities and delivering reliable technical outcomes.
  • Oracle SQL certification or other relevant Oracle credentials is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a government security investigation for Public Trust suitability.
  • U.S. citizenship is not required for this role.
  • Availability to work remotely from any U.S. location, with occasional travel and less than 10% expected travel.
  • This is a contingent position anticipated to begin in late summer 2026.

  • Salary: Expected salary range of $111,155–$150,385, with final compensation based on experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
