Med-Ophthalmology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26005125)
The University of Pitt. is looking for a Post Doctoral Assc in the lab of Dr. Anthony St. Leger. The postdoc will investigate how the microbiome may modulate ocular surface disease. This will include but not be limited to assess B cell responses to C. mastitidis in the context of health and conditions of autoimmunity like Sjogren’s Disease. The applicant will also be responsible for setting up a model of autoimmune uveitis in the laboratory under the direction of the PI.
• Duties or Responsibilities: Primary duties in the lab will include performing experiments, analyzing data, summarizing findings, and writing manuscripts. This may also require the ordering of supplies/mice and the preparation of any reagents that are needed for the project. A thorough lab notebook (paper and/or electronic) is required and will be maintained in the lab.
• Expectations or Qualifications
o PhD in Immunology,
o 2 Years experience in Ophthalmology Research
o Other expectations, Ability to write and publish articles, etc.
