This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a STAR Program Associate based in United States.

This full-time, remote opportunity is designed for commercial interns transitioning into a full-time career after graduation.
The role provides broad exposure to products, applications, customers, and the commercial side of a global industrial solutions business.
You will build technical and market knowledge while supporting sales development and helping customers address operational challenges.
The program is structured as a development pathway toward a future direct sales position as your skills and experience grow.
You will work across national or regional accounts, with the specific role and location determined based on business needs.
The position offers an opportunity to combine customer engagement, technical learning, and commercial development in a collaborative environment.
It is particularly well suited to motivated early-career professionals who are curious, adaptable, and interested in building a long-term career in technical sales.

Accountabilities:
  • Learn the organization's broad portfolio of products, technologies, applications, and solutions to develop strong technical and commercial knowledge.
  • Support the development and growth of assigned customer accounts alongside experienced sales professionals.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs, operational challenges, and application requirements in order to contribute to effective solutions.
  • Assist with sales development activities across national or regional accounts, depending on the assigned role.
  • Build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while developing strong communication and consultative selling skills.
  • Apply technical and product knowledge to help identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency, product quality, asset protection, and environmental performance.
  • Gain exposure to both field- and customer-facing activities as well as the broader commercial sales process.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and technical teams to address customer challenges and support account development.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of products, applications, markets, and customer requirements.
  • Progressively develop the skills, commercial judgment, and customer relationships required to transition into a direct sales position when appropriate.
Requirements:
  • This opportunity is specifically intended for commercial interns pursuing a full-time STAR role following graduation.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in technical, consultative, or industrial sales.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn complex products, technologies, applications, and customer requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in understanding and solving complex business and operational challenges.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, initiative, and willingness to learn in a dynamic commercial environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, technical, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable developing both technical knowledge and commercial capabilities as part of a structured career-development pathway.
  • Willingness to work in a national or regional commercial role, with the specific assignment and location determined according to business needs.
Benefits:
  • Full-time employment opportunity following successful completion of the internship/program pathway.
  • Remote work arrangement, with specific role and location determined based on business requirements.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Numerous professional growth and development opportunities.
  • Structured exposure to products, applications, customers, and commercial operations.
  • Career-development pathway toward potential direct sales responsibilities.
  • Opportunity to work on complex customer challenges across a global business environment.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to equal employment opportunities.
