Job Description
Schrock Innovations is looking for a friendly, motivated Junior Technician to join our Des Moines Service Center team full-time.
This entry-level opportunity is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, has a genuine interest in technology, and wants to build hands-on experience in a supportive, customer-focused environment. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, solve a wide variety of technology challenges, and help customers feel more confident using their devices.
What You’ll Do:
Assist customers through walk-in service, phone support, and scheduled in-home visits
Provide a positive customer experience by listening carefully, communicating clearly, and making each customer feel supported
Diagnose and troubleshoot first-level hardware, software, device, and network issues
Escalate more complex technical issues to senior technicians when appropriate
Help customers understand their technology and recommend practical solutions that improve their experience
Accurately document service events, including the issue, work performed, and resolution
Support other Schrock Innovations locations when needed

What We’re Looking For:
Availability to work a full-time schedule: Monday 12p-8p, Tuesday 10a-6p, Friday 12p-8p, Saturday 10a-8p, and Sunday 12p-5p
High school diploma
1 year of customer-facing experience in retail, technical support, hospitality, or another service-based environment
A strong desire to solve problems and help others
Basic familiarity with computers, smartphones, and common operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A valid driver’s license in good standing
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks that may include standing, bending, and kneeling
