Job Summary

This position involves operating a Class A commercial vehicle to pick up and deliver loads within a set route. The driver will be home daily and must maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Operate a Class A commercial vehicle (tractor-trailer) to complete local deliveries and pick-ups.

Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Load, unload, and secure freight using proper equipment and safety practices (as applicable).

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.

Follow assigned route schedules and adjust to traffic or weather-related delays as needed.

Ensure timely deliveries and maintain a high level of customer service.

Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.

Report incidents, accidents, or delivery issues promptly and accurately.

Follow all SOPs for loading, unloading, and signing BOLs.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.

Bulk Tanker Endorsement.

Obtain Hazmat Endorsement within first 90 days.

Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.

Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.

Must pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical.
