In pursuit of college degree in a related field (Accounting or Finance).

The Accounting department supports Gray’s teams by delivering accounting services in an accurate and timely fashion. Our responsibilities include a focus on supporting our customer’s needs while also maintaining required internal controls and complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

During this internship you will be working on many internal accounting and project cost projects along with other duties as assigned. Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.

Qualifications

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

  • Support the finance team by posting miscellaneous cash receipts as needed.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including scanning check stubs and organizing digital records for ease of access.
  • Prepare and mail credit cards to employees as part of the company’s credit card issuance and management process.
  • Accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system for processing and payment.
  • Assist with reviewing and authorizing subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
  • Provide backup support for compliance reviews to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Step in as needed to review and post invoices, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
  • Process travel and expense requests through Concur, verifying information for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Other duties assigned by accounting team/manager.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. They are regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.
