Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).
Role Description:
The Human Resources Business Partner role will work under the Head of Human Resources. This position will maintain effective communication and interaction with employees across the entire organization and reports directly to the Head of Human Resources to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. You will need a strong attention to details and a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation.
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Head of Human Resources on administering the annual Open Enrollment process
- Assist with sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates to meet the company's staffing needs.
- Coordinate and manage recruitment processes, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all payroll documentation and records are up to date, including new hire information, time-off requests, and any necessary deductions.
- Collaborate with management at all locations to ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies, maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.
- Support the new hire process by assisting with onboarding, including preparing documentation, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, and coordinating new hire orientations at the site of your PMT locations.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist role, with a focus on employee relations, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings, such as plastic molding or injection molding.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, ADP, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment, understanding the unique challenges of the plastic molding industry across multiple locations.
- Travel will be required between PMT’s El Paso, TX, and Centennial, CO locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP
- Ability to communicate information efficiently and succinctly
- Experience with ADP
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting
